Baseball Recap: Geneva Panthers vs. Wayne Eagles
Geneva had lost five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 2-5 to make it six. They fell just short of the Wayne Eagles by a score of 6-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 on Tuesday.
Cayden Urbano was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with four stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Cristofer Rangel was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
As for Wayne, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3. While they didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
