Softball Recap: Box Elder Comes Up Short

Box Elder and Salem Hills squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Box Elder had to settle for second. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Skyhawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Skyhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-7 on Tuesday.

Jenna Marble was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Lucy Griffin, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Box Elder's loss dropped their record down to 28-5. As for Salem Hills, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-4.

As of now, neither Box Elder nor the Skyhawks have any future games scheduled.
