After a string of three wins, Dowagiac's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of the River Valley Mustangs by a score of 3-2. The Chieftains were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 2-1.
Dowagiac's loss dropped their record down to 6-12-2. As for River Valley, the win got them back to even at 5-5-3.
Looking ahead, Dowagiac will venture away from home to face off against Our Lady of the Lake Catholic at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for River Valley, they will host Covert at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
