Volleyball Game Preview: South Bend Adams Eagles vs. Penn Kingsmen

South Bend Adams hasn't had much luck against Penn recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Eagles will face off against the Kingsmen at 11:00 a.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Saturday.

South Bend Adams is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Michigan City. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, Penn got the win against New Prairie last Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

Penn never let New Prairie on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 27-25, 25-19.

Penn's win came from a few key players South Bend Adams will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Abby Lane, who had 16 digs and two assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Carson Petty was another key player, getting 21 assists and four digs.

South Bend Adams' victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Penn, their win bumped their record up to 21-6.

South Bend Adams might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Penn when the teams last played back in September. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
