Basketball Recap: White Creek Christian Academy Beats Barnes Academy for Their Second Straight Victory

If Barnes Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played White Creek Christian Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Maximus Whitmire. The Eagles walked away with a 57-48 victory over the Vikings on Saturday with plenty of help from Whitmire, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and ten rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season.

The win made it two in a row for White Creek Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-1. As for Barnes Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, White Creek Christian Academy's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Friendship Christian at 12:20 p.m. on Saturday. Barnes Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' game: after the Eagles face off against Lanier Christian Academy, they'll take on Barnes Academy again at 5:00 p.m. on the 10th.
