Basketball Game Preview: South Miami Cobras vs. Coral Gables Cavaliers

South Miami is on a three-game streak of home losses, Coral Gables a seven-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The South Miami Cobras will host the Coral Gables Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Two weeks ago, South Miami came up short against Coral Park and fell 49-39.

Meanwhile, Coral Gables ended up a good deal behind Lourdes Academy on Monday and lost 52-33.

South Miami's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Coral Gables, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.

South Miami was taken down by Coral Gables 51-22 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point South Miami was down 33-11.
