Baseball Recap: East's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against East Canton, East was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Badger Braves. The win was a breath of fresh air for East as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Abimael Torres was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

East always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Badger only posted an OBP of .333.

East's record now sits at 7-15. As for Badger, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East will square off against Chaney at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Badger, they will challenge Bristol at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
