Softball Game Preview: Overton Bobcats vs. Antioch Bears

The Overton Bobcats will take on the Antioch Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Overton had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Brentwood Academy put an end to it on Friday. Overton lost 13-1 to Brentwood Academy. The Bobcats' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Overton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Meacham, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Antioch came up short against McGavock on Thursday, falling 25-4.

Overton now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Antioch, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Overton has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .451. However, it's not like Antioch struggles in that department as they've averaged .626. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
