Basketball Game Preview: Ozark Tigers vs. Joplin Eagles

The Ozark Tigers will head out to square off against the Joplin Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Ozark was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 73-67 to Carthage.

Meanwhile, Joplin was beaten by Kickapoo 63-32 on Tuesday. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Joplin has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Ozark, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Everything went Ozark's way against Joplin when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as Ozark made off with an 86-66 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ozark since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
