Volleyball Recap: Social Circle Comes Up Short

Social Circle came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Oglethorpe County Patriots, falling 3-0. The Redskins haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

While Social Circle was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-22, 25-16.

Social Circle's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Oglethorpe County, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Social Circle will face off against Lake Oconee Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oglethorpe County, they will challenge Providence Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Patriots' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
