Basketball Game Preview: Atascadero Greyhounds vs. Templeton Eagles

The Atascadero Greyhounds will square off against the Templeton Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Atascadero's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches.

Atascadero will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Mission College Prep, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Everything went Atascadero's way against Mission College Prep on Friday as Atascadero made off with an 80-55 victory. The Greyhounds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Templeton played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against San Luis Obispo, falling 68-43. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 554th, while the Tigers are ranked 119th).

Templeton has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season. As for Atascadero, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.

Atascadero took their victory against Templeton when the teams last played on January 10th by a conclusive 71-50. Does Atascadero have another victory up their sleeve, or will Templeton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
