Baseball Recap: Yorktown's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

After flying high against Walter Panas last Monday, Yorktown came back down to earth. The Huskers took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fox Lane Foxes on Sunday. The Huskers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Foxes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Aiden Flynn was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Gabe Iavarone was another key player, getting four hits from his four at bats.

Having lost for the first time this season, Yorktown fell to 3-1. As for Fox Lane, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Yorktown has already played their next game, a 6-4 win against Ketcham on the 19th. As for Fox Lane, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-1 victory against Harrison on the 21st.
