Baseball Game Preview: El Paso-Gridley Titans vs. Richwoods Knights

The El Paso-Gridley Titans will take on the Richwoods Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

El Paso-Gridley is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Eureka on Wednesday. They lost 15-2 to the Hornets. The defeat continues a trend for the Titans in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost nine in a row.

El Paso-Gridley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Adams, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Richwoods waltzed into their game on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Irish. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted against the Irish since May 25, 2021.

Richwoods pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for El Paso-Gridley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.
