Volleyball Recap: Piketon Takes a Loss

After flying high against Oak Hill last Wednesday, Piketon came back down to earth. The Redstreaks lost 3-0 to the New Lexington Panthers on Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-14, 25-6.

Piketon's offense was headlined by Haydn Daniels and Ryanne Moore, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Larkin Vulgamore and her 13 assists. Finally, Moore was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Gracie Newlon had a dynamite game For New Lexington., getting 17 digs and four aces. That's the most digs Newlon has posted over her last eight matchups.

Piketon's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for New Lexington, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-2.

Piketon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Lexington, they will square off against Zane Trace at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
