Basketball Game Preview: Streetsboro Rockets vs. Cloverleaf Colts

The Streetsboro Rockets will face off against the Cloverleaf Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Streetsboro is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

On Tuesday, Streetsboro didn't have too much trouble with Field as they won 49-32. Given the Rockets' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Falcons are ranked 224th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Cloverleaf hadn't done well against Woodridge recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Cloverleaf walked away with a 38-30 victory over Woodridge.

Cloverleaf's win came from a few key players Streetsboro will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Emma Hibler, who posted eight points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kinsey Bayer, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 11 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Cloverleaf is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Streetsboro, their win bumped their record up to 16-3.

Streetsboro beat Cloverleaf 61-48 when the teams last played back in January. Will Streetsboro repeat their success, or does Cloverleaf have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
