Basketball Recap: Neuse Christian Academy Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Neuse Christian Academy can now relate to. They took a 62-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Halifax Academy Vikings on Tuesday. The Lions' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Landon Peoples was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 28 points and 11 boards for Halifax Academy. The contest was Peoples' third in a row with at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Oliver Anderson, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

Neuse Christian Academy's record is now 4-14. As for Halifax Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-15.

Neuse Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Halifax Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Lee Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lee Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Halifax Academy likes a good challenge.
