Softball Game Preview: Summerfield Rebels vs. Lincoln Prep Panthers

The Summerfield Rebels will head out on the road to square off against the Lincoln Prep Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Summerfield will head out to face Lincoln Prep after giving up their first home loss of the season on Tuesday. Summerfield took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Choudrant.

Meanwhile, Lincoln Prep is still winless after their matchup against Jonesboro-Hodge on Wednesday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tigers.

Lincoln Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Summerfield, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Everything went Summerfield's way against Lincoln Prep in their previous meeting on Friday, as Summerfield made off with a 12-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Summerfield since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
