Soccer Game Preview: Davis vs. Eastmont

The Davis Pirates will square off against the Eastmont Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Eastmont took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Davis, who comes in off a win.

Davis' defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Eisenhower. The win continues a trend for Davis in their matchups with Eisenhower: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Eastmont didn't have quite enough to beat Sunnyside on Tuesday and fell 2-1.

Eastmont's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Davis, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3-1.

Davis took their win against Eastmont when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0 score. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
