Basketball Recap: Ignite Athletics Takes a Loss

Ignite Athletics lost against New Life Christian Academy back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Ignite Athletics Flames lost 65-43 to the New Life Christian Academy Lions.

Jake Hamilton was his usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 32 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists for New Life Christian Academy. Hamilton has been hot for a while, having also posted three or more steals the last 30 times he's played. Abraham Robinson was another key player, dropping a triple-double on ten points, 12 boards, and ten blocks.

Ignite Athletics has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for New Life Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Ignite Athletics has already played their next game, a 65-25 defeat against Teays Valley Christian on the 1st. As for New Life Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 71-51 loss against Bloomingdale on the 1st.
