Baseball Recap: Midland Classical Academy Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Midland Classical Academy waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Borger Bulldogs by a score of 6-2. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kayson West was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base.

In other batting news, Levi Bayley was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-2. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gage Strong, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Midland Classical Academy pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Midland Classical Academy will square off against Presidio at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Borger has already played their next game (against Fort Stockton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
