Volleyball Recap: Fishers Takes a Loss

Fishers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Carroll Chargers, falling 3-0. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2021.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-11, 25-16.

Laila Love paced Fishers' offense, picking up five kills. Love got some help from Ava Tester and her nine assists. Finally, Milana Mays kept Fishers' defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Fishers' defeat dropped their record down to 16-14. As for Carroll, they pushed their record up to 30-0 with the victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Fishers and Carroll will both be playing Roncalli the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Royals at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Chargers will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
