Preview: Boonville Pirates vs. North Callaway Thunderbirds
The Boonville Pirates will take on the North Callaway Thunderbirds at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Boonville took care of business in their home opener on Monday (and then some). They claimed a resounding 76-43 victory over Marshall at home.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday North Callaway sidestepped Silex for a 49-46 win. The win was just what North Callaway needed coming off of a 62-36 loss in their prior matchup.
Among those leading the charge was Natalie Shryock, who scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Blevins, who scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds.
Boonville's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for North Callaway, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Boonville took their win against North Callaway when the teams last played back in December of 2016 by a conclusive 55-32. Will Boonville repeat their success, or does North Callaway have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
