Baseball Recap: Chase Takes a Loss

Chase was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the East Rutherford Cavaliers, falling 9-1. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly eight runs.

Chase's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for East Rutherford, their victory was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0.

Chase didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 win against Patton on the 8th. As for East Rutherford, they will face off against Chesnee at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cavaliers 1.2, the Eagles 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
