Football Recap: Pittsburg Comes Up Short

Pittsburg came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt a 51-14 defeat at the hands of the Pleasant Grove Hawks. The matchup marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Although Pittsburg took the loss, they still got scores from Ke'Von Grant and Seven Duffey.

Pittsburg's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Pleasant Grove, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Pittsburg will square off against rival Spring Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Pleasant Grove is set to challenge their familiar foe Van at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
