Basketball Recap: DePaul College Prep Gets the Win

DePaul College Prep hadn't done well against Providence Catholic recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The DePaul College Prep Rams managed a 48-43 win over the Providence Catholic Celtics. The Rams have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Celtics, too.

DePaul College Prep is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.4 points per game. As for Providence Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. DePaul College Prep will face off against Loyola Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Loyola Academy will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something DePaul College Prep surely won't give up without a fight. As for Providence Catholic, they will head out on the road to square off against Mother McAuley at 7:00 p.m. on January 14th.
