Softball Recap: Devine Warhorses / Arabians vs. Navarro Panthers
It's playoff time, and Devine had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Navarro Panthers by a score of 12-8 on Thursday. Considering the Warhorses / Arabians' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Sam Zamora made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up seven earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those five hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Karsyn Deleon was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Karsyn Mann was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
