Mount Pleasant can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Monroe Redhawks. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Tigers yet this season.

One reason for the win was Mount Pleasant's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-12, 25-6.

Mount Pleasant's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-6. As for Monroe, their loss was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.
