Baseball Recap: Birch Run Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Birch Run's offense. They came up short against the Garber Dukes on Thursday, falling 15-0. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Dukes: they've now lost five in a row.

Birch Run's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Garber, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Birch Run will head out to take on New Lothrop at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Garber, they will square off against Hemlock at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Dukes will need to watch out since the Huskies have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
