Niles posted their closest win since April 19th on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Portage Central Mustangs 7-5. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Mustangs on Saturday, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Niles' win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Portage Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

Niles will head out on the road to square off against Paw Paw at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 2.7, the Red Wolves 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
