Volleyball Game Preview: Avant Garde Academy Sharks vs. First Baptist Academy Lions

The Avant Garde Academy Sharks will venture away from home to face off against the First Baptist Academy Lions at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Avant Garde Academy came up short against St. John Paul II Academy on Monday, falling 3-0. The Sharks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-16, 25-15.

Meanwhile, First Baptist Academy made easy work of Edison Private on Monday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Avant Garde Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2. As for First Baptist Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Everything went Avant Garde Academy's way against First Baptist Academy in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, as Avant Garde Academy made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sharks since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
