Baseball Recap: Wilmington Friends Comes Up Short

Wilmington Friends was the 6-5 winner over Concord when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Quakers took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders on Thursday. The Quakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wilmington Friends now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Concord, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Looking ahead, Wilmington Friends will venture away from home to square off against St. Andrew's at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The last four games the Cardinals have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Concord, they will welcome Newark Charter School at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
