Basketball Recap: Cypress Ridge Takes a Loss

Cypress Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They came up short against the Stratford Spartans, falling 58-36. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1083rd, while the Spartans are ranked 496th).

Cypress Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Stratford, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Cypress Ridge will head out to take on Cypress Falls at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cypress Falls will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Cypress Ridge surely won't give up without a fight. As for Stratford, they will square off against Memorial at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
