Volleyball Recap: Merced Comes Up Short

Merced lost against El Capitan back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bears lost 3-0 to the Gauchos. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19, 25-9.

Merced's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for El Capitan, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Merced is set to face off against their familiar foe Los Banos at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, El Capitan will challenge rival Golden Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
