Baseball Recap: West Jefferson Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for West Jefferson's offense. They lost 22-0 to the Firth Cougars on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 16-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

West Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Firth, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

West Jefferson will take on Wendell in a tournament on Friday. As for Firth, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Snake River at 4:00 p.m. The Cougars are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
