Soccer Recap: Magee Triumphs

Magee lost to Quitman back in November of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Magee Trojans came out on top against the Quitman Panthers by a score of 3-1. The Trojans better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Maycie Smith, as she scored every single goal for her team.

Magee is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those four contests. As for Quitman, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Magee and Raymond will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Quitman, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Enterprise at 11:00 a.m. on January 4, 2025.
