Baseball Recap: West Orange's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

West Orange had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Jones on Thursday. The West Orange Warriors' pitchers stepped up to hand the Jones Eagles a 10-0 shutout. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on four straight.

Parker Hohnstock looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February.

On the hitting side, Andrew Rich was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Chase Henderson also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

West Orange was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in four consecutive contests.

West Orange's record is now 12-4. As for Jones, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, West Orange will welcome Ocoee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jones, they will challenge Grayslake North at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday.
