Baseball Recap: Pacifica Comes Up Short

Pacifica managed to slip by San Marcos the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tritons lost 9-3 to the Royals on Tuesday.

Byron Cibrian made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Riley Ortega was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

Pacifica's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for San Marcos, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-9.

While Pacifica had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
