Baseball Recap: Christian Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

There's no place like home for Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They never let the Coronado Islanders get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Islanders on Tuesday, they had to take a 8-4 defeat.

The result came thanks to Logan Major's shutout, as he gave up just six hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Benji Molina was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Christian moved to 11-6 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Coronado, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 13-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian will host Mira Mesa at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Coronado, they will be playing at home against Madison at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warhawks will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Islanders surely won't give up without a fight.
