Basketball Recap: Rockmart Yellowjackets vs. North Murray Mountaineers
Even though the North Murray Mountaineers scored an imposing 75 points on Friday, the Rockmart Yellowjackets still came out on top. Rockmart secured a 79-75 W over the Mountaineers. The win made it back-to-back wins for Rockmart.
Rockmart had a senior duo take command as Treylin Davis dropped a double-double on 32 points and 13 rebounds and Samuel Johnson scored 20 points along with four steals. Davis is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 11 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Atkins, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Rockmart has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which somehow isn't as good as their 19-5 record this season. As for North Murray, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-5.
Rockmart will head out on the road to face off against the Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Model will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak. As for North Murray, they will be playing at home against the Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
