Soccer Game Preview: Liberty vs. Desert Oasis

The Liberty Patriots will head out to challenge the Desert Oasis Diamondbacks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Liberty is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Eldorado, who was ranked 22nd at the time (Liberty was ranked ninth). The Patriots fell just short of the Firehawks by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Desert Oasis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 6-1 to Sierra Vista. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Desert Oasis' defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-1. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5-1.

Everything went Liberty's way against Desert Oasis in their previous meeting back in September, as Liberty made off with a 4-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
