Volleyball Recap: Edgewood Comes Up Short

Edgewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Silver Creek Dragons.

Olivia Edgeman paced Edgewood's offense, picking up seven kills. Edgeman got some help from Jenna Abram and her 12 assists. Cora Emmons controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Edgewood's loss dropped their record down to 16-15. As for Silver Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season.

Edgewood will take on Speedway at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Silver Creek, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Bloomington North on the 11th.
