Shawnee Mission Christian entered their tilt with St. Joseph D on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Defenders with a sharp 3-0 win. The Mustangs not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since August 22nd (when they won 3-0).

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-14, 25-20.

Maranda Zink paced Shawnee Mission Christian's offense, picking up eight kills. Zink got some help from Carolyn Sappington and her 16 assists. Megan Martin controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Shawnee Mission Christian's record is now 6-8. As for St. Joseph D, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.

Coming up, Shawnee Mission Christian is taking a road trip to face off against New Hope Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Joseph D does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
