Basketball Recap: Jones Comes Up Short

Jones suffered their biggest loss since November 22, 2023 on Wednesday. They were beaten by the Windermere Wolverines 68-29. The contest marked the Fightin' Tigers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Jones saw an underclassman step up: freshman Timothy Mack posted ten points. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for Mack. Preston Jones was another key player, putting up six points.

Jones now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Windermere, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Jones wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-44 loss against Leesburg on the 7th. As for Windermere, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 74-41 victory against Gateway Charter on the 7th.
