Basketball Recap: Locust Grove Takes a Loss

Locust Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 70-19 loss at the hands of the Jones County Greyhounds. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-15.

It was another big night for Mya Anderson, who went 6 for 10 en route to 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals for Jones County. Anderson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played. Desirae Dumas was another key player, going 5 of 7 on her way to 10 points and six boards.

Locust Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Jones County, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-1.

Locust Grove has already played their next match (against Hampton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Jones County has already played their next game, a 49-43 win against Veterans on the 18th.
