After a string of four wins, Maranatha Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Francis Parker Lancers. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Lancers when the teams met back in October of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-14.

Presley Gibson paced Maranatha Christian's offense, picking up ten kills. Gibson got some help from Quinn Kaechele and her 22 assists. Addisyn Burke and Emmelia Nelson kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Maranatha Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Francis Parker, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 12-9.

Coincidentally, Maranatha Christian and Francis Parker will both be playing Pacific Ridge the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Firebirds at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Lancers will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
