On Tuesday, Williston faced Gainesville in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Williston Red Devils came out on top in a nail-biter against the Gainesville Hurricanes, sneaking past 60-58. The victory was just business as usual for the Red Devils, who after six games remain undefeated this season.

Williston got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ashlyn Young out in front who posted 13 points in addition to seven boards and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Tiona Wilkinson, who went 5 for 7 on her way to 12 points in addition to six boards and four blocks.

Williston pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Gainesville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Williston will venture away from home to challenge Rickards at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gainesville, they will head out to take on Ribault at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
