Volleyball Recap: Telluride Extends Winning Streak to Four

Telluride waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Ouray Trojans as they made off with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Miners also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Telluride was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-6, 25-5.

Ella-Rose Aplin paced Telluride's offense, picking up 15 kills. Aplin got some help from Lillyann Mahoney and her 20 assists. Ford Fenton controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Telluride's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Ouray, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Telluride has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Norwood on the 10th. As for Ouray, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Pinnacle on the 11th.
