After a string of four wins, Brennan's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Taft Raiders by a score of 3-2. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bears came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Raiders are ranked 614th).

Emilio Valenzuela and Carlos Deharo scored both of Brennan's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Brennan's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4-3. As for Taft, their record now sits at 9-15.

Coming up, Brennan will be playing at home against Warren at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Taft, they will venture away from home to take on O'Connor at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
