Basketball Game Preview: Walton Braves vs. Andrew Jackson Tigers

The Walton Braves will square off against the Andrew Jackson Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Walton sitting on three straight victories and Andrew Jackson on four.

Walton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They slipped by South Walton 36-35.

Meanwhile, Andrew Jackson didn't have too much trouble with Episcopal School of Jacksonville on Friday as they won 48-34. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Eagles are ranked 164th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Andrew Jackson's win came from a few key players Walton will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jahari Simmons, who went 6 for 12 en route to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrell Mosely, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 10 points and four steals.

Andrew Jackson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2024.
