Basketball Game Preview: Middletown Christian Eagles vs. Thurgood Marshall Cougars

The Middletown Christian Eagles will square off against the Thurgood Marshall Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Middletown Christian has three straight victories, Thurgood Marshall has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Thursday, Middletown Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Bethel-Tate, taking the game 48-40.

Meanwhile, Thurgood Marshall had to suffer through a 61-31 loss at the hands of Dunbar.

Middletown Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.6 points per game. As for Thurgood Marshall, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Middletown Christian might still be hurting after the 65-44 defeat they got from Thurgood Marshall when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Middletown Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
